In photography, I learned the basic structure of a camera and its features, including some fancy photography terms such as shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. Armed with this new knowledge, I head out and snapped a few pictures while fiddling with my settings. I have always known the beauty of life, but now I know I can capture little pieces of it and tell my own story.

I joined photography to gain a greater understanding of taking proper pictures that tell a story. Normally I just grab a camera, point in the general direction, and snap a quick picture, but I want to know how to do more than just the basic actions; they don't truly capture the essence of a scene. I hope to learn all the camera's functions to eventually be able to tweak camera settings to fit the environment. I look forward to photography on Mondays during activity block.
